So I had been hearing all about the new Play and Learn Cafe in Minnetonka and really wanted to check it out. Everyone on Facebook seemed to love it! So I made sure to carve out some time over the weekend for a late lunch.
On Thursday, March 19, SEA LIFE Aquarium opened its new $2.2 million sting ray exhibit “Meet the Rays.” It’s a bigger touch pool allowing many families to experience the sting rays up close all at once. So, we decided to check it out!
We hadn’t been to SEA LIFE for about a year, so it was a lot of fun to see our little guy checking it all out and to hear him talking about everything we saw. Last time we were there, he had just turned 6 mos old, so it was neat to watch him taking everything in. But to hear his excitement this time was so fun!
So I know I’m a little slow getting my St Pat’s recap posted, but sometimes life gets busy, and I’m still trying to get into the whole full time job working, half-marathon training mommy blogger who also tries to fit in a yoga class or two a week thing. So here we go.
So the day after tomorrow is one of my favorite holidays – St Patrick’s Day. (parade? Socially acceptable day drinking? Sure, I’ll take the day off to celebrate!) I think it’s just that it’s always been a tradition for me and my husband to go to St Paul for the parade, hit up a few other events in the area, grab a drink or two (or 10… Well before we had a kid, of course.) This year will be our little guy’s first time to the parade. I’m so excited to start a family tradition with him. We’ll probably be more focused on more family friendly things this year… I don’t really think a 19 month old will enjoy crowded bars too much… But I know it’ll still be a blast. Hope to see you there! http://www.stpatsmn.org
So I haven’t posted recently as I have been busy preparing to travel and then actually traveling. (I am writing to you from the most fantastic suite ever with a ocean view in Riviera Maya, Mexico) I was so nervous leaving my sweet little guy behind with my parents, my stomach was in knots for days leading up to our departure!
I will be posting on a much more regular basis once we return! Hopefully I will have figured out how best to cope the first time you leave your little one behind. In the mean time, leave me a comment with YOUR tips and thoughts on vacationing with out the kiddos!
When trying to decide the direction to take my blog – food? Diet and exercise? Cat fancying? – every idea looped back around to being a mom. (As everything does once one of those bundles of
chaos joy pops out) So follow me, if you dare, while I try to shed some light on the various things that peak my interest and how I attempt (keyword) to maintain some balance.
