Hi, I’m Julie. I’m a mama to a toddler boy, two large, crazy dogs, and a cat who rules us all. I’m also a wife to a man who loves the Minnesota State Fair and zombies. I’m desperately trying to keep things balanced while maintaining a mostly  somewhat sane household while working full time and trying to squeeze in some time for yoga, reading and writing.

You may be thinking, “But you’re just one mama, the website says Twin Cities Mamas…?” Yes – this is correct. Because I want you to know, you’re not alone. I know I can’t be alone when I feel tired, defeated or unsure. So many blogs and articles out there make me feel inferior. This is not that place.

I am sarcastic. I don’t take myself too seriously. I definitely don’t know it all. And as they say in the intro to one of my favorite podcasts, One Bad Mother (seriously, you should listen) “There will be swears.”

At first, I thought I was going to be the next Martha Stewart, and start a whole new lifestyle for the Twin Cities Mama. And there my blog sat. I had nothing to say. I had no advice to give. Because I’m not Martha. So if you are looking for tips on being the perfect homemaker, or a how-to guide to having it all, you, my friend, are at the wrong place. I fall on my face, and am just barely  keeping it together. So let’s keep it together, together.
