So I had been hearing all about the new Play and Learn Cafe in Minnetonka and really wanted to check it out. Everyone on Facebook seemed to love it! So I made sure to carve out some time over the weekend for a late lunch.
For our little guy, we got the Green Eggs and Ham. All of the kids meals come with fruit and yogurt. I got a salmon cous cous salad. (Also had a mocha) All of the food was very good. I arrived wanting to like it – I like supporting local businesses – especially those that take pride in using high quality ingredients and serve healthy options. I was not disappointed. The prices were what I expected – it’s more than a couple bucks a plate, but it’s quality food – I think it was adequately priced.
After lunch, it was play time!
First, my little guy checked out the smaller toys, like the barn and fire house.
Then we did a little digging.
Then, with a little encouragement, we got to the climbing. I think he must have been feeling a little shy because he has no problem climbing anything and everything at home or at daycare.
The tall, spiral slide was a little high for our little guy, he got up there and wriggled into the slide, and went down it kind of sideways, so be careful with the younger ones.
If you have real little ones, there is an area for infants to wriggle and crawl. It even has a cute little ball pit.
A few recommendations if you are going-
- check the rules before letting your kids go crazy.
- Remember grippy socks for the kiddos
- Have fun!
Overall, we had a great time. Working full time, I’m not really able to try out any of the classes they offer. But from what I’ve seen on their website and Facebook, they seem to be worth checking out. We will for sure be back.
